We’re looking for a dedicated, reliable individual to fill a full-time position in our Accounting department. You’ve got to love working with numbers, paying attention to details, keeping organized, and making sure the books are balanced and current. If you’re an enthusiastic and hard working person who is looking for entry-level bookkeeping experience at a growing company, this could be the position you’ve been waiting for!
Responsibilities:
• Receive and file invoices and receipts for payables; enter data to accounting software
• Reconcile various statements, keeping paperwork intact and resolving any discrepancies
• Make payments via cheque and online banking according to a weekly schedule
• Maintain accounting file system and assist with improving paper flow through accounting department
• Reimburse employee expenses; reinforcing guidelines for reporting expenses where necessary
Requirements:
• Intermediate computer skills: experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web-based software
• Some experience with Simply Accounting or other accounting software
• Advanced organizational skills
• Quick, effective learner
• Motivated, hard-working, passionate, and detail-oriented
• Works well with others; friendly, easygoing
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in any discipline
• No bookkeeping experience required
Compensation and Hours:
• This is a full-time position: 40 hour per week.
